Polaris Gateway Care was established to do two things well: provide companionship, domestic care, and support work that families can trust, and train the next generation of care professionals to the same standard.
We are a small, deliberately focused organisation. Being newly built means we are designing every process from scratch with current best practice and current technology in mind. Nothing is inherited from a way of working we have outgrown.
Our model brings two strands together: companionship, domestic care, and support work delivered in people’s homes, and a training arm that develops the workforce that delivers it. The two reinforce each other. The standards we expect of our own team are the same standards we teach.
What we stand for

- Every visit begins with the person, not the task. We protect choice, privacy, and the right to be heard, for the people we support and for our team.
- Standards-led
- Skills for Care standards are the floor we build on, not the ceiling. Safeguarding, supervision, and ongoing development are designed in, not bolted on.
- Investing in people
- We pay for training. We pay for travel time. We supervise, debrief, and develop. Better-supported staff give better-quality care, there is no shortcut.
- Honest communication
- Families, referrers, and our team get the same story from us. If we can help, we will say so. If we cannot, we will say that too, and signpost.
Why we exist
The days we help make possible
A morning walk. A shared crossword. A hot meal, cooked in the right kitchen. The quiet dignity of your own front door. These are the days we help hold together, so families can worry less and older adults can carry on living the way they choose.
Everything else, the trained team, the DBS checks, the supervision and the standards, is what makes that ordinary magic reliably possible.
